World War One production and dated for 1916, with 4 5/8in. round barrel, block and blade fore-sight, standing notch to back of top-strap, stepped cylinder (arbor screw replaced), solid frame with screwless field-strippable sideplate, coarsely chequered grips and guarded trigger, missing lanyard ring from heel, regimentally stamped '92.R'. minimal traces of finish
